THE INSTRUCTORS
ELLE
OWNER & FOUNDER
Elle is the founder of Pilates on Seventh. She was first introduced to Pilates as a dancer in high school, where she noticed that it was the only form of exercise that helped her to safely strengthen her hyper-mobile joints. Later, when she was diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder she found that Pilates equipped her with an acute awareness of her body, helping her not only stabilize her condition, but improve her muscle strength, attitude, and overall health. Her life changing experience with the Pilates Method led her to seek a teaching degree so that she could share the benefits with others.
Elle received her mat Pilates training at the world-renowned Equinox Teacher Training Institute in LA. She went on to complete a year long comprehensive training course at Vitality Pilates in Seattle, where she taught before opening her own studio here in Utah. Elle currently teaches virtual sessions only.
RUBY
Ruby began her journey with movement as a rhythmic gymnast, then a dancer when she attended LA County High School for the Arts. She found the power of Pilates after a knee injury in high school. Practicing Pilates every day helped her to rehab after surgery and gave her a deeper understanding of how her own body worked.

Ruby earned her BFA in Ballet Pedagogy at the Hartt School of Dance. She currently dances with Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company in Utah. A daily Pilates regimen helps her to strengthen and align her body in order to keep up with the physical demands of dancing at a professional level. Ruby is a certified Pilates instructor with Polestar Pilates, and is continually fascinated by the power that Pilates has to help the body heal and flourish.
